Varilume Powerline Wall Switch (PLC Wall Switch)

Powerline communication is an essential technology for lighting controls because it enables the installation of a control-oriented communication network without the need to tear down walls in order to install dedicated wiring. As a result, installation costs are greatly reduced and automated network can be easily modified or expanded.

Varilume has designed various devices that allow you to create flexible, smart lighting control systems for commercial and industrial buildings. Energy savings, greater comfort and safety – are only a few benefits of the use of the Varilume®
PLC modules.

The Wall Switch Controllers are stand-alone transceivers designed to be integrated in Varilume® Inc lighting networks. They may replace the standard switches or be added anywhere on the power line. In conjunction with the PLC modules, the user can build sophisticated automated environments including lighting, heating and cooling, security, fire detection, window shutters, access control, energy monitoring, etc.

The PLC devices are designed on a modular concept that integrates the PLC Module with the central computer. This compact and versatile design can be packed in several models, featuring 2, 4, 6 or 8 buttons. Each button can be programmed to transmit 3 different events, corresponding to one of the 3 actions: Hit, Maintain and Release.

Programmability

The Wall Switch Controllers are configurable devices. Each module can be easily programmed in order to implement personalized set-ups for each button. Varilume® Inc. has available the Device Programmer software, an evaluation tool that allows to configure the keypad and to create various scenarios for the automated network.
