Varilume Three-Phase Coupler (PLC Coupler)
The PLC-Coupler is designed to couple the
communication signals on all phases of a power
system. It is intended for use when the powerline communication devices are located on different phases of the power network.
The module can be connected between a transceiver and the power lines (fig.1). In this case, the communication signals are transmitted to and received from all connected phases. If the transceiver is configured to operate in repeat mode, a coupler-repeater can be implemented.
The PLC-Coupler can also be used as a passive
phase coupler, when it is connected only to the
power lines (fig.2). In this case, the communication
signals generated on one phase pass to the other
phases.
